So, the beginning of a murder could be years before with perhaps the first angry moment or that first desire to gain someone’s money. Everything else - the people, places, weapons, motives, and so forth - is what makes up the murder. Christie’s premise is that the actual murder itself is the zero-point. What is special about Towards Zero is the premise with which the author began the novel. ![]() Superintendent Battle (from Scotland Yard) and his nephew is all that is needed. Christie’s well-known detectives such as Hercule Poirot or Jane Marple in here. Towards Zero is one of the lesser known novels among Agatha Christie’s enormous repertoire.
